I am happy and excited to share the debut of my short story, “The Prettiest Dresses”, in Firefly Ridge Literary Magazine by LaVenson Press Studios, a finalist for the 2016 Women’s Writing Award.
Firefly Ridge Literary Magazine is edited by author Zelda Lockhart. Zelda is an amazing writer, wonderful writing workshop presenter and gifted teacher. She knows what it takes to get to the heart of a story. I have learned many, helpful techniques for writing prompts, story development and self-editing from Zelda. I am honored to be featured in Firefly Ridge Literary Magazine along with writers Cantrice J. Penn and Faith S. Holsaert.
Please let me know what you think of my short story. I welcome your comments.
Clicking on the picture below will take you to Firefly Ridge Literary Magazine and on page 25, the short story, “The Prettiest Dresses”, where an encounter with a stranger makes a young woman realize she should listen less to her mother.
Late in the year, Rinconez was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by Kaushal from Expressive Human at 27 Writers and for the Loyal Dragon Award by Annie from What The Woman Wrote. I am very thankful for the gracious nominations. Please find the award rules and facts as requested per each award here, in the new Reader Recognition page for Rinconez.
New award nominations will be announced this February.
I am thankful for each of you following Rinconez.
Wishing you moments of refection, humor and serendipity,
